Dear Friends,

This year is flying by! When we first started planning the auction it seemed so far away, now here we are less than two weeks away from the big event, I can hardly believe it’s time! The annual auction is our greatest opportunity to support Southwest Charter School. Proceeds from the auction will be invested directly into your child’s education through facilities enhancements, safety upgrades and much needed updates in our computers and technology.

As you are all well aware, we receive less than ½ the funding per child that PPS receives. This is our chance to make up some of that difference and to support the work done at our school. We do more with less every single day, but we can do even better!

We’re a special place, aren’t we? We’re different than other schools. I, for one, am grateful for so many of those differences! I’m grateful that my son has a place at Southwest Charter School and I am grateful for all the teachers, staff and community that are helping me to educate Paulo. I truly see this auction as my chance to celebrate them and to give back.

I am inviting you to join me on March 15th at the Melody Ballroom and celebrate our school. We have a lot to be proud of, we’ve accomplished so much over the past few years and previous auction efforts, but believe me when I tell you the best is yet to come! The board and staff have great plans for growing and developing our school but we need your support to make those plans a reality.

Tickets are $40.00 per person, presale, and $45.00 per person at the door. Presale ticket deadline is midnight on March 14th. You can also sponsor a staff member and purchase a golden ticket on the website. The holder of the winning golden ticket raffle will have their choice of any of our amazing live auction items. You can see a sample of the items we have up for bid on March 15th on our online site and catalogue. Remember though, that’s just a taste of the amazing items our team and parents procured! If you want to see it all, you have to join the party, and what a party it will be!
