The Multnomah Days Parade and Street Festival is this Saturday, August 17th!

Help represent our wonderful school, and have lots of fun at the annual Multnomah Days Parade and Street Festival.  We extend a special invitation to all of the NEW families that will be joining us this year.  This event is a great way to catch up with SW Charter friends and families and ease the transition back to school — maybe even create a little excitement!

Here’s the details:

Booth Setup is at 7:30am  (we’re looking for volunteers to help throughout the day).  The SW Charter Booth is #76 located on the east (or shady) side of Capitol Highway (4 booths down from SW 35th and across from Village Beads.)

Marchers line up at 9-9:30 am on the bridge.

Parade starts at 10:00 am.

Our theme this year at SW Charter  is WATER, so decorate yourself, your bikes, your wagons, and your banners in sea creatures, kelp, waves.  SWCS shirts are a must if you have them.  There will be a heap of artificial flowers available on the day of the parade for last minute decorating. Music and instruments are also great at the parade.  Want to form a SWCS Band ??  We can even enter a truck into the parade if anyone in interested.  Nothing quite as awesome as throwing candy and flowers from the back of a SWCS decorated truck.
