The Friends of SW Charter (FOSWCS) will have our first meeting of the school year on Tuesday, September 10 in the school Great Room. There will be social time starting at 6:30 pm and then we’ll start the meeting at 7 pm.

The Friends of SW Charter School, your parent teacher organization, is here to build community among our families and support our wonderful teachers and staff.

Every year we plan both fundraising and community building events. Some of our fundraising events include Chinook Book sales, restaurant nights and our two biggest fundraisers, Run for the Arts and our Annual Dinner and Auction. Most community building events are free of charge to our community and in the past have included a harvest dance, an author night and a crafternoon.

To support our teachers and staff, we give them lots of food during conference time and the holidays. Listening to what they need in the classrooms to make teaching easier. And making sure they know how much we value them during Staff Appreciation Week and on their birthdays.

This is just a taste of what FOSWCS does to help make SW Charter such a great place for our kids. We hope that you will would like to get involved at the level you are comfortable. We need people who can head up committees, but we also need people who can volunteer one time only say, to bring in drinks for an event. Every little bit helps!
