Community Service Featuring the Teddy Bear Drive to Support The Dougy Center

wpid-CAM00419.jpgSW Charter has has three wonderful community service projects going on right now.

Today we’re featuring the Teddy Bear Drive for The Dougy Center.

As many of you know, Rose Bracke, daughter of Laura Bracke and a former SW Charter student, lost her father this year and has been finding great support through The Dougy Center.  This drive is in honor of Rose’s father Scott. We hope that you will consider helping us support this very important organization.

The Dougy Center is a non-profit organization in SE Portland that provides support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families grieving a death can share their experiences. You can help comfort one of these grieving children by donating a new, unused, medium-sized teddy bear!

Drop your donations in the bin next to Kathy’s desk by Thursday, December 19th and make a difference in a childʼs life.

For more information, please contact Heather Petzold at 2hap@comcast.net.
