Thank you to all the SW Charter families who donated teddy bears to The Dougy Center during our drive in December. We collected 47 bears for grieving children and families!

Our Teddy Bear Drive was in honor of Scott Kelly. Since Scott’s death, his daughter Rose Kelly, a former SW Charter student, has been finding great support through The Dougy Center, a non-profit organization in SE Portland that provides support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families grieving a death can share their experiences.

Thank you so much to parent Heather Petzold who organized the Teddy Bear Drive and to all of you who donated bears. We have such a caring community!
