To all the families of children who will enter Teacher Amanda’s Kindergarten Class at Southwest Charter School this fall — Welcome!

For the next few weeks, we’ll be gathering from at Johnson Creek Park in SE Portland. Our next get-together is Thursday, August 14th from 12:30 – 2:30 pm.

Johnson Creek Park, located at SE 21st Ave & Clatsop St. is an ideal meeting spot with a playground, plenty of shade and a shallow creek to play in. Siblings and pets on a leash are welcome, too!

We’ll plan on being near the play structure at first, but come down to the creek if you don’t see anyone.

These gatherings continue a tradition of offering several opportunities for the kindergarten families to meet before school begins. Harmony Spangler, mom of an incoming Kindergartener, will be hosting this event.
