Melissa and Jenny, our art program coordinators, want to thank everyone who came out to the art opening at the Geezer Gallery last month and all of the wonderful volunteers that helped to make it happen!
The event was a great success. There was an amazing turn out. It was so wonderful to see all the families hanging out together and the proud faces of all the little artists.
Thank you to Aaron Nigel Smith and Alan Gunn for the wonderful music.
We are so grateful to the Garnica family, who own Verde Cocina, for donating the amazing and delicious food and to Reverend Nat’s hard cider for the great drinks! Be sure to support these generous local businesses when you can!
We were able to raise over $500 for art for the school. We also have made a great connection with the Geezer Gallery and plan to participate in their intergenerational program. Art from the show is being handed back this week.
If you are still planning to make a donation to the art program, you can leave it in the metal box attached to Kathy’s desk. Please mark the envelope “for art” and make any checks payable to Southwest Charter School.
