The Neighborhood House in Multnomah Village is graciously hosting two SW Charter middle school students for their service internships this spring. This is a great partnership for us!
We’d like to share Neighborhood House’s community event with the SW Charter community. It’s an Empty Bowls Fundraiser & Community Soup Dinner on Sunday, March 6th from 4-6pm.
The Empty Bowls Project is an international effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger. Neighborhood House will be hosting a soup dinner on Sunday, March 6th from 4pm-6pm at the Multnomah Arts Center with handmade ceramic bowls donated from Portland artists and students, and a variety of soups donated by local restaurants, grocery stores, coops and supporters.
They’re are asking for donations of $10-20 to attend the event, depending on the bowl you choose. Your donation will include a delicious soup dinner and you will get to take home a unique ceramic bowl to remember all of the empty bowls in the world. $5 or sliding scale option for low-income participants is available for soup only. All proceeds will benefit Neighborhood House’s Emergency Food Box Program.
So please, RSVP on the Neighborhood House Event Page, bring your friends, family and loved ones and join Neighborhood House at their Empty Bowls Fundraiser!
