Join Friends of SW Charter, your parent teacher organization, for our first meeting of the school year! We’ll be getting together this Thursday, September 8 at 6:30 pm at Elephants on Corbett. We meet upstairs in the Corbett Room.

All are welcome and encouraged to come — have a glass of wine and maybe some dinner while spending time with a fantastic group of parents.

Friends works to build community and support families, aids and supports staff, engages in community service, fund raises to create field work scholarships for those in need, and supplies funds for teacher grants.

We have a full meeting planned including:

• introduction of this year’s Board members
• playground update
• open volunteer positions such as room parents, volunteer coordinator, etc.
• fall harvest dance and social (September 16th)
• chinook book fundraiser
• teacher mini grants
• and more…

We’d love to see new and returning families this Thursday!
